Girls Brigade

Hello! The 1st Wellingborough Girls Brigade Company meet in Salem Hall every Monday during term time between. A typical evening is spent doing different activities such as craft, games or dance, which contribute to badge work and then a joint time of devotions. Some evenings are spent as a whole company, taking part in team challenges based around themes or relative holidays.

Girls are also encouraged to take part in parade once a month at Wellingborough United Reformed Church, where they are able to take part in a family friendly service. In the summer, there is a summer program which can include GB Camp and different activities such as, games in the park, lazer maze and circus skills.

The company has around 30 girls in total and although that doesn’t sound a lot the girls a very lively and enthusiastic. Our company is also linked to one in Malawi as well as being part of the Northamptonshire District.

Girls Brigade is a great way to make friends, learn new skills and have a great time! Hope to see you soon!

Activities are held in Salem Hall on Monday evenings during term time

  • 6.15pm - 7.30pm for the Explorers (4-7 year olds)
  • 6.15pm - 7.30pm for the Juniors (8-11 year olds)
  • 7.15pm- 8.30pm for the Seniors (11- 14 year olds)
  • 7.15pm- 8.30pm for the Brigaders (14-18 year olds)
