The United Reformed Church is celebrating a couple of key people this year. One is Martin Luther, who was one of the reformers of the Roman Catholic church 500 years ago. In addition, 100 years ago Constance Coltmann was the first woman ordained in the Congregational Church of England and Wales. This tradition is one strand of the URC.

This autumn Martin and Constance are spending some time with us at High Street. Martin is a small figure who will be passed from member and friends of the church. Take of photo of him and send it to the church Facebook page. He can be with you on holiday or at a church event. Constance’s figure will be with Martha on her sabbatical.
